Statutes

Art.1 Name and domicile

The association „Grindelwald, Guest of Honour Club" (referred to hereinafter as „the Club") is a club within the meaning of Art. 60 ff. of the Swiss Civil Law Code. The domicile oft the Club is Grindelwald.

Art. 2 Objectives

Promoting the individuality and hospitality of Grindelwald by supporting projects and impulse programmes.Ensuring communication between Grindelwald and its guests of honour.Guaranteeing the preferential treatment of guests of honour in Grindelwald.

Art. 3 Membership

Membership of the Club is open exlusively to guests of honour of Grindelwald. Admission to the Club follows on payment oft the annual subscription. Membership expires on failure to pay the annual subscription. In such a case there is no obligation to pay the subscription.

Personal liability on the part oft he members is excluded. The obligations oft the Club are met exclusively by the Club funds.

Art. 4 Organs of the Club

Art. 5 General meeting

A general meeting will be called only if requested by the legally prescribed number of members. The relevant motions and petitions should be submitted together with the request. The Club Committee is at liberty to amend these motions and petitions.

Art. 6 Club Committee

The Club Committee consists oft the President and a minimum of three members who are elected for a two-year period of office from the board of directors of the Grindelwald tourist association. The Director of the tourist association is also an ex officio member of the Committee.

The Committee is responsible for carrying out all the business transactions of the Club and for fixing the annual membership subscription.

Art. 7 Control office

The annual accounts of the Club will be checked by the control office of the Grindelwald tourist association and approved by the board of directors of the tourist association.

Art. 8 Amendment of the statutes

Articles 2, 3 and 8 can only be amended by a 2/3 majority of the voting members present at a general meeting. The remanining statutory regulations can be amended by the Cub Committee. Before coming into force, the(new) statutes require to be ratified by the board of dirctors oft the tourist association.

Art. 9 Dissolution of the Club

The Club can be dissolved by a majority decision of the board of directors oft he Grindelwald tourist association. Once all obligations have been met, the Club funds will accrue to the benefit of the Grindelwald tourist association.
